Level I programming includes once-a-week, 60-90 minute group counseling sessions to learn about and address substance use disorder. Level II programming is a 10-week program that meets three times per week for three hours at a time.

Our full-service inpatient facility is located in Coburg, Oregon. There, we are able to provide clinical assessments, mental health evaluations, specialized support for co-occurring disorders, as well as medically supported detox and withdrawal support.

As well as our inpatient facility in Coburg, Serenity Lane is home to a network of outpatient treatment facilities all over the state of Oregon. With our locations in Portland, Bend, Eugene, Salem, Roseburg, and Albany, we give all members of the Oregon community access to our high level of care. An Unmatched Legacy of Care Since 1973

Serenity Lane was established as a private, non-profit treatment center for addiction and substance use issues in 1973 by Dr. Thomas A. Kerns. Serenity Lane has been licensed as a specialty hospital treating addiction since 1973, and all programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). Serenity Lane is the only treatment center in Oregon that is fully licensed as a specialty hospital to do medical withdrawal support. Along with this, we offer a full, professional medical staff and 24-hour nursing support.

Serenity Lane has pioneered many new programs over the years, including outpatient and residential step-down programs that combine residential and outpatient services. Serenity Lane has outpatient programs in many locations throughout Oregon in an effort to reach as many people as possible. Serenity Lane’s legacy is a long history of treating patients and their families with the best quality of care available.

Specifically Tailored Treatment Approaches

At our residential treatment facility in Coburg, Oregon we offer a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient programming:

Residential Treatment: The initial goal of this program is to provide patient crisis intervention and stabilization along with 24-hour medically supervised detox and treatment. Both individual and group counseling sessions help the patient learn coping skills and tackle the complex issues that come along with substance use disorder. This program is 28 days long and uses intensive group therapy, individual counseling, and education about addiction and its causes.

At all of our locations across Oregon, we offer a wide variety of addiction treatment programs that include multiple levels of outpatient care. We’ve outlined our three levels of outpatient treatment below:

Day Treatment (Partial-hospitalization): Our Day Treatment Program, also known as partial-hospitalization, is the most intensive level of care after our Inpatient Residential Treatment program. Day Treatment is a great option for people looking for a comprehensive treatment program that allows them to balance the demands of professional and personal life.

Level II Outpatient Program: Level II Outpatient, also known as Intensive Outpatient or IOP, is ten weeks of intensive and comprehensive treatment that includes individual counseling, group therapy, and education about addiction issues.

Level I Outpatient Program: Our Level I Outpatient program is the next step after IOP. Following Outpatient Treatment, Recovery support is provided on a weekly basis for 44 weeks or longer. Patients meet for a 90-minute weekly session to learn to identify and manage stressful life events and incorporate relapse prevention techniques they’ve learned throughout their recovery journey.

We realize that attending on-campus treatment programs is not always an option. Because of this, we’ve developed our very own telehealth program. Serenity Lane’s RecoveryNOW virtual addiction treatment services provide the same exceptional Intensive Outpatient and Level I outpatient programming via the Zoom teleconferencing platform. This will include group sessions and meetings with counselors.
